The Great Loop Waterway route follows both natural and man-made waterways, through salt and fresh water systems.
Think of the Great Loop as an even wetter Appalachian Trail.
It’s another kind of seasonal, long-distance journey up the Atlantic coast, and beyond! But instead of climbing up mountains, we’ll navigate through the protected intracoastal waterway, between historic canals, across the Great Lakes and into Canadian waters, down the inland rivers of America’s heartland, and ride out into the Gulf of Mexico.
We began our Great Loop from Sebastian, Florida on April 6, 2026 – we’re brand new Loopers! So far the Looper community has been nothing short of incredible, and the waterways have been teeming with wild beauty.
